Wood, Paint Ball Chain, Crystals, Sconces

The text for this piece was inspired by "trickle down economics and the fragility of our economy. The notion of "the economy" is a vast and monolithic thing that often elicits a feeling of powerlessness. When is the next time our government going to shut down? Is there going to be another housing bubble? There are two arrows in the sculpture. One is created by the static and stable form at the top. The second is realized at the bottom created by the profile of the  ball chain, always in motion and flux.  The dimensionality of the dollar sign lends the viewer the sense that the dollar sign is tipping forward.
